Our Story

Fred’s Flowers has been serving flower consumers for over 80 years!

In 1930, Rudy Culp started a gladiola farm in Nappanee, Indiana. Flower wholesaling grew quickly and Rudy handed the business down to his son Fred Culp. Fred became an amazing floral designer and began the retail side of their family flower business. Since then Fred’s Flowers has been delivering quality products and superior customer satisfaction in fresh flower designs, silk arrangements and special event work.

In 1986, Kathy Rogers, the daughter and protégée of Fred, decided to carry on the family trade in Tempe, Arizona by opening the second Fred’s Flowers. In 1990, after many years of dedication to flower cultivation, design and client service Fred chose to retire.  Then in 1997 after years of spreading her love for the art of floral design, teaching her knowledge to others and creating an amazing reputation for the family business in Arizona, Kathy retired (to freelancing). Renee’ Potter, Kathy’s daughter is a fourth generation florist and proud owner of Fred’s Flowers in Tempe since 2005. Renee’ was born and raised in the floral industry and is honored to continue to carry on her family’s tradition!
